Greetings, Chattanooga!
I haven’t had a real kitchen in more than a year. My partner and I began building a cabin in late 2019, and while it’s been livable for some time – our stove and sink have been located outside beneath our covered back porch.
But good news! Our days of outdoor cooking are almost over. Our kitchen – a spacious open design – is nearing completion. Among all the building we’ve done, I consider that our best project.
What’s yours? We want to see before and after photos of your best DIY project, whether it was done inside, outside or – as in my case – both. We’ll be accepting submissions through Jan. 31 and voting will be held the first week of February.
The best before-and-after will win a gift card to Southeastern Salvage.

And now, a few recent stories:
A Chattanooga company has developed a new app that is allowing students to do interactive computer assignments at home even when they are not connected to the internet.
This Chattanooga elementary school principal’s Facebook post has been shared at least 6,000 times.
And, do you have what it takes to impress the judges on “America’s Got Talent?” Your first step toward that opportunity is coming up next when virtual auditions are hosted in the Southeast.
