The final Sacred Sounds concert of the year, scheduled Friday, Nov. 9, will feature bluegrass group Spatial Effects and Southern gospel trio The Jeff Hullender Family. Randall Franks will emcee.
The show is presented by the Share America Foundation as a fundraiser for the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship Fund, which supports musicians seeking higher education.
Spatial Effects will perform music from its new release, “Just a Closer Walk.” “The CD features hymns and gospel songs that were recorded live in older churches in the area,” said group member Tom Brown. “Each track was recorded live, capturing the acoustic flavor of each individual church,” he said.
In addition to Brown, the band consists of Earl Brackin, Betsy Blankenship, David Crawford and Gary Thompson.
The Jeff Hullender Family features Jeff Hullender, a former member of the Gold City Quartet, and his children, Justin and Emily.
