Exhausted of wintry mixes and school cancellations?
Pro baseball isn’t too far away.
Members of the 2015 Chattanooga Lookouts will report to spring training with the Minnesota Twins two weeks from today in Fort Myers, Fla. Twins minor-leaguers will begin workouts on March 12 and will start playing games March 15.
Camp will break April 6, and the Lookouts will hold their first practice at AT&T Field on April 7.
“We’re really excited about our partnership with the Lookouts,” Twins farm director Brad Steil said. “There is a long tradition of baseball history in Chattanooga, and I think it’s going to be a great fit between the two organizations because we have similar values. Chattanooga is going to be a great place for players to spend a season, and it’s a great facility there with a great playing surface.”
