Road closing for bridge replacement

Beginning Monday, Daugherty Ferry Road over Sale Creek will be closed until Nov. 30.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be replacing a 58-year-old narrow truss bridge with a concrete beam bridge. Palmertree Construction Co. of Sewanee, Tenn., is the contractor for the $859,000 project.

A marked detour route will use Coulterville Road and Elesea Road.
