Witnesses were able to identify a burglary suspect Tuesday morning on Pierce Road in Birchwood.
Kelvin Cranfield, 36, is in custody on charges of burglary and vandalism after he was seen carrying a weed-eater and a gas can out of a garage, according to a release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses called authorities and told them it was Cranfield.
Deputies went to Cranfield’s residence and arrested him. The vandalism charge was an outstanding warrant he already had. The property was not recovered and the case is still under investigation.
Cranfield’s bond was not posted as of Tuesday night.
