A new era
I first met the people at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga in 2015 when I previewed their upcoming 25th-anniversary party. To celebrate, the house had planned a three-day event with the goal of flash-raising enough funds to pay off its remaining mortgage – nearly $200,000 – which it managed to do.
This year, the house marks another big year. After 33 years at the helm, the founding president and CEO, Jane Kaylor, steps down.
In our first story below, she shares her thoughts on legacy, plus writer Mark Kennedy gets to know the new president, Michael Brown.
