A teenager turned herself in today to Chattanooga police in connection with the gunshots that were fired at children as they exited a school bus on Through Street on Tuesday.
No one was injured from the school bus, police said.
Following the shooting, the 17-year-old female, along with two other teenage males, led police on a chase that resulted in another car being hit and the three teenagers striking a utility pole in their Ford F-150, police said.
After being interviewed by police Wednesday, the 17-year-old was taken to Erlanger hospital for injuries she sustained after hitting the utility pole, said Rebecca Royval, a spokeswoman for Chattanooga police.
When she is released from the hospital, the teenager will be taken to a juvenile detention center, Royval said.
The teenager faces three charges of aggravated assault, one for felony possession of a firearm while committing a dangerous felony and another for evading arrest.
The two teenage males, ages 16 and 17, were caught Tuesday after they hit the utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle the F-150 hit received minor injuries, police said.
