Hiwassee names interim president
Dr. Charles Neal, retired senior pastor of First-Centenary United Methodist Church in Chattanooga, has taken over as interim president at Hiwassee College here.
Dr. Neal takes over from Dr. Jerry Russell, who served as interim president from March 2010 until the end of the year while simultaneously serving as pastor of Fairview United Methodist Church in Maryville, Tenn.
“We are very honored and pleased to have Dr. Neal take over and provide leadership while the board conducts the search for the next president of Hiwassee College,” Trustee Carol Wilson said.
