Dr. Jackson helps open new Cempa dental clinic

Cempa Community Care has opened a dental clinic at 1042 E. Third St., which is led by dentist Dr. Latresa Jackson. The clinic will expand Cempa’s community health offerings, adding much-needed dental care to an already lengthy list of services.

Jackson is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She has delivered services at county health departments as well as to Tennessee Department of Correction inmates.

“Dental health and hygiene are such critical elements of one’s overarching health and wellness, because of that, we knew we had to find a way to bring dental services under the Cempa umbrella,” Shannon Burger, CEO at Cempa Community Care, said in a news release. “Building out our clinic was no small feat, and I’m immensely proud of the team for being up to the task.”

During the course of his career, Wexler spent several years working at Boston University Medical Center. He has received numerous honors and awards including the Reading Hospital Platinum Quality Award in 2019.
