The man arrested in connection with a suspected arson attempt Monday at the Chattanooga Masonic Center made several social media posts about Freemasons and the local lodge before the incident, court documents show.
Kadum Harwood, 29, was arrested in Catoosa County, Georgia, on Monday and has since been transferred to the Hamilton County Jail. He is charged with arson, vandalism, burglary, harassment and reckless endangerment, according to court records.
Posts on a Facebook page matching Harwood’s name and residence in Ringgold, Georgia, frequently reference “FMs,” or Freemasons, and allude to a conspiracy theory that accuses powerful people of harvesting chemicals from children’s bodies.
