Bear tileThere is no vicious bear loose in Campbell County, according to state wildlife officials who have found no supporting evidence that a man was attacked by a bear there.
On Friday, Michael Savage, 27, said he was attacked in the White Bridge area of Campbell County by an animal with dark coarse hair.
But investigators from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency said Monday they haven’t found anything showing a struggle with a wild animal, nor do Savage’s injuries match those from such an attack.
