Three weeks after Chattanooga Realtor Mark Hite died unexpectedly while vacationing in Key West, Florida, some members of Hite’s real estate team are forming a new venture billed as Onward Chattanooga Homes.
Jason Carr, who worked with Hite for 15 years as the longest-tenured member of the Mark Hite team, said Onward Chattanooga Homes will continue Hite’s legacy and the popular guaranteed home purchase offer service in the Chattanooga area. Carr said “onward” is a sentiment Hite shared frequently to motivate and empower his team to do their best work and serve clients.
Hite, who was a real estate agent for more than two decades, had a team of 18 agents and support staff at Real Estate Partners Chattanooga where he worked since 2020 until his sudden death Jan. 1.
Last year, the Mark Hite team ranked No. 2 among all real estate teams in the number of home sales transactions it handled and was No. 5 among all real estate teams in the dollar volume of sales. In 2023, the Mark Hite team handled 330 home sales transactions (either purchases or sales) with a total dollar volume of nearly $88.8 million, according to multiple listing service data compiled by the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors.
