The 88th Masters is thrice as nice for the Baylor School golfing alums.

Three former Red Raiders are scheduled, weather permitting, to tee things up Thursday morning at Augusta National Golf Club when Stephan Jaeger, Luke List and Harris English begin their respective quests for a coveted green jacket.

This will be the fifth Masters for English, who has made the cut in three of four previous trips, and the third for List, who competed as an amateur as a Vanderbilt University sophomore in 2005 and didn’t qualify again until 2022.

It’s the Masters debut for Jaeger, who earned an invitation with his first PGA Tour career victory earlier this month over world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, so this is the first Masters with three former Baylor standouts.

“I came last week, and it was my first time playing it,” Jaeger said Tuesday during his first Masters news conference. “Obviously I’ve been here a few times before, and I can see the trickiness behind it. There are some spots where you’ve got to be careful on the right sides and make sure that you have the right angles. There are a lot of angles here and a lot of runoffs that may be good, but some are bad.
