Two of the nation’s top-20 receiver prospects in the 2025 signing cycle made their decisions Saturday.

Alabama landed one of them, while Tennessee snagged the other.

Committing to the Volunteers on Saturday night was Travis Smith Jr., a 6-foot-4, 199-pounder from Westlake High School in Atlanta. Smith, who is ranked by 247Sports.com as the nation’s No. 16 receiver and the No. 113 prospect overall, visited Knoxville on June 21 after taking trips to Georgia (June 1), Auburn (June 7) and Alabama (June 14).

“I just think their offense is electric,” Smith told 247Sports. “They have shown I can be a key force as a receiver making big plays and someone who can be a part of the top of the SEC when it’s all said and done.”

Smith is Tennessee’s 17th commitment for the 2025 class and the third four-star receiver, joining Radarious Jackson of Sheffield High in Memphis and Joakim Dodson of Baylor School. The Vols have the nation’s No. 11 class of commitments, according to 247Sports.

Committing to Alabama on Saturday afternoon was five-star Caleb Cunningham of Choctaw County High in Ackerman, Mississippi. Cunningham is the nation’s No. 2 receiver and the No. 13 overall recruit, picking the Crimson Tide after taking recent visits to Auburn (May 31), Florida (June 7) and Tennessee (June 14).

The Crimson Tide are up to 21 commitments six months into the Kalen DeBoer era, with their crop ranked second nationally behind Ohio State.

“Alabama is Alabama,” Cunningham told 247Sports. “They have a great program and everything there that I need to be successful at my position and for my body. I love the coaching staff, and I love what they have going on.

“They have a great quarterback room also.”
