Chattanooga’s Riverwalk is to see a key upgrade, including a possible widening, as it’s transformed into the main entrance and front door for the Lookouts’ new stadium, an official said Thursday.
“The Riverwalk is being designed for improvement, and increasing its capacity as needed,” architect Tripp Mullins of the firm DH&W, said after a meeting of a city zoning panel that granted a variance for the project.

But a question was raised about the Riverwalk’s use by cyclists during game days for the minor baseball league team, with a concern car traffic would create a potential problem.
“We ride bikes all the time” through the 140-acre former foundry site, Wanda Hagen, said at the meeting of the downtown zoning board.
