Marshall’s service recommends him

Tom Marshall is the only qualified candidate for the District 3 Chattanooga City Council seat. I first met Tom at McConnell Elementary School when my grandchildren and his middle daughter were in school together. Tom was always volunteering to help at school events.

Tom has served on more boards than I can name. I most recently worked with Tom for the Forgotten Child Fund. The Forgotten Child Fund ensures that no child in Hamilton County goes without during the holiday season. Tom helped organize and promote an event downtown that was very successful in helping ensure all our children in Hamilton County did not go without on Christmas Day.

Tom was able to help grow his small family-owned business into the digital era with designing, building and installing larger digital signs and graphics.

He is the only candidate for Chattanooga City Council District 3 who has the business background, service leadership and ability to hit the ground running with his knowledge of city government from day one. He is trustworthy and decent, a man who will work to make our community and city the best it can be for all residents.

Vote Tom Marshall Chattanooga City Council District 3.

Judy McCarter

Davis top pick for District 3

I support Jeff Davis to represent Hixson and District 3 on the Chattanooga City Council.

For years, Jeff has been actively involved with the residents of Hixson through his family activities, his membership in Hixson churches, and his leadership on the Hixson Utility District’s Board of Commissioners. He has demonstrated his commitment to public safety through his service as a judicial commissioner for Hamilton County government and his completion of the Chattanooga Police Department’s Community Policing Academy.

He has been involved in charitable work, including service on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga.

Jeff wants a safe community, high-quality city services for Hixson residents, and improved roads and infrastructure, but mainly he wants to be an advocate for each Hixson citizen. An advocate is not just someone who will work for your best interest, but who will also take the time to listen to your concerns. I know Jeff and his family and support him in his bid to be our next city councilman.

Please vote for Jeff Davis in District 3.

Still no response from Rep. Greene

A couple of weeks ago, I shared this message with my congressional representative, Marjorie Taylor Greene:

Why does Elon (Musk) have my Social Security number?

So far, I have not received a response from Rep. Greene’s office.

Surely I am not the only person in Northwest Georgia asking this question.

Reps., vote against hurtful SAVE Act

As an active duty military family, my family has been stationed in seven different locations over the last 13 years. Three of those assignments, including our current one, have been overseas duty stations. And every time, we have relied on online and mail-in voter registration to stay connected in our district back home in Tennessee.

There’s a bill called the SAVE Act, which would eliminate the ability for me and thousands of other service families to do that anymore.

I strongly urge Rep. Chuck Fleischmann and Sens. Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn to vote against this bill when it comes up this month. Military families have the right to vote — and we need your help protecting it.
