Hamilton County prosecutor Charles Minor works tirelessly, about 70 to 80 hours a week, in the hopes of getting “some of the worst of the worst” criminals off the streets.

Minor targets those who commit internet crimes against children at both the state and federal level, which can range from people who possess child pornography to people who travel across state lines with the intent to engage in sexual activity with a minor.

“I do this because I love it,” Minor said in an interview. “I feel like I do good every day when I come to work.”

Despite having kids and a family at home, Minor works longer hours than other people in this office to serve children, Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp said by phone.

Federal officials at Homeland Security and in the U.S. Attorney’s Office indicated there was a real problem prosecuting child pornography cases because there were so many of them, Wamp said.
