The nation’s largest public power provider, which supplies energy to more than 10 million people across parts of seven states, has seen more shifts in its leadership.

TVA announced this week that north region executive Justin Maierhofer would become senior vice president and chief of government relations.

“Justin has spent over 25 years working at the intersection of policy, politics and the energy industry in the nation’s capital and in the Tennessee Valley region,” TVA spokesperson Scott Fiedler said in an email. “Justin will lead a focused, more efficient government relations staff who work in D.C. and across the Tennessee Valley region.”

In a text, Fiedler said this is a part of TVA’s transformation. It’s a promotion to a new position that will focus on the company’s long-term business goals, he said.
