Chattanooga officials broke ground this spring on the first phase of One Westside, an $89 million redevelopment of the Westside neighborhood, beginning with a 230-unit apartment complex. The project will replace aging public housing without displacing residents. This is the first of seven phases that will ultimately create 1,126 new housing units in the neighborhood by 2032.
