Wear red to show support for women

Two years ago, as a young, active woman, I never thought I’d have to worry about my heart. Like millions of women, I was wrong. In 2009, at the age of 38, I had two heart attacks within a week and needed emergency heart surgery to save my life.

Heart disease kills more women than the next four causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer.
