How do you write something new about an award-winning distillery?

Wanda and William “Bill” Lee are the founders and distillers behind Gate 11. They opened the distillery in February 2019 and have been tallying up awards ever since.

There are the cold, hard facts: the competitions entered and won, the formulas and recipes that the Lee’s create, the five stills built from scratch, the parts of the machinery and equipment that go into the distilling process.

Double gold medals from the San Francisco World Spirits competition drip from the proverbial neck of the bottle of dry gin, as well as double gold for the Lee’s vodka, silver for two of the agave-based spirits and bronze for their absinthe. The list goes on and on.
