A new product meant to preserve road conditions for over a decade may come to Chattanooga soon.

The Chattanooga City Council is scheduled on Tuesday to consider a contract for about $646,000 with Donelson Construction of Clever, Missouri.

The vote would authorize the company to pave several roads in the Hixson area with a sealant the company invented. The sealant, called PressurePave, is meant to preserve roads for an average of 15 years.

The targeted roads would include Highland Way, Highview Drive, Highwood Drive, Brynwood Terrace, Brynwood Drive and Anna Street, a set of streets within a neighborhood on the southern end of Hixson.

The company anticipates treatment beginning in the spring after some repair work if the contract is approved, said Bryant Donelson, the company’s director of growth.
