Senior Prom turns back clock

Jack Stoker, left, from Morning Pointe in Hixson, and Ruth Quinn from John Calvin Apartments were nominated as Prom King and Queen at the event.

Guy Morgan, left, and his wife Betty celebrated their first Senior Prom at the event. The pair knew each other in high school, but were unfortunately unable to attend their senior prom. They got to attend now, though, just a few decades late.

The ladies from John Calvin Apartments, pictured above, arrived in their fanciest duds for their night of lively music and dancing.

Maureen Ott, left, and her husband Steve celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary at the prom.

Residents from Morning Pointe of Hixson, an assisted living facility, pose after two hours of conversation and dancing.

The dance floor at the prom was the happening place to be, with live music from the Booker T. Scruggs Ensemble playing jazz, blues and gospel classics for attendees to dance to.

The North River Civic Center recently held a Senior Prom. No, not a senior prom like the one in high school, but a prom for seniors. Sponsored by the Life Care Centers of Hixson and Red Bank, the prom had food and live entertainment for several dozen seniors that showed up to relive their youth in a night of fun and dancing.
