Could a Democrat emerge?
The fascinating aspect of the election to replace U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene just across the border in Georgia is that it is an open primary. Elsewhere, such elections are frequently called jungle primaries because all the animals in the jungle — Republicans, Democrats, independents, etc. — compete together.
In a regular election in the conservative 14th Congressional District, a Republican and a Democrat would be selected in primaries and face each other in the November election. But Greene resigned halfway through her term, so law specifies that a special election be held to replace her.

What is interesting to consider is if adequately financed Democrat Shawn Harris could be one of two candidates who emerges from the 22 names on the ballot on March 10.
