The deadline for developers to apply for free lots in East Chattanooga in return for building affordable housing is two weeks away.

The Chattanooga Land Bank Authority will stop taking applications for three project sites representing six properties after 5 p.m. Jan. 12.

The city started the initiative as part of the 2023 Chattanooga Housing Action Plan, seeking to revitalize neighborhoods by turning vacant and underused parcels into new housing at reduced cost.
