Tyler Houser will finally get a chance to play for Dan Earl.
Eventually.
The Delaware transfer became the second player to commit to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball program recently and will have one season of eligibility remaining, although due to a knee injury he is expected to miss the entirety of the 2026-27 season.
The 6-foot-9 Houser originally committed to play for Earl at Virginia Military Institute in 2021 and signed to play for the Keydets, but Earl then took the UTC job in April of 2022. Houser stuck to his VMI pledge and earned All-Southern Conference freshman team honors his initial season, averaging 10.8 points and five rebounds before transferring to Delaware, where in three seasons he played in 59 games — including starting all 26 contests in 2025-26 — and averaging nine points and 3.6 rebounds.
After missing the 2024-25 season due to injury, he came back and averaged 14.2 points and 5.4 rebounds while making 38% of his 3-point attempts and shooting 50% from the field.
Houser becomes the Mocs’ second transfer pledge of this cycle, joining Division II Goldey-Beacom point guard Tre Powell. The pair will join forward Sean Cusano, who has been limited to 44 career games in three seasons due to injuries, three members of the 2024 signing class — guards Tate Darner and Zach Bleshoy and forward Josh Bowman — and incoming freshman forward John Fleeman on the current roster.
Transfer out news
Sophomore forward Latif Diouf became the fifth player from the 2025-26 team to enter the transfer portal last week.
After a promising freshman season in which he played in 31 games with nine starts for the National Invitation Tournament champions, the 6-9 Diouf was limited to five games due to injury last season. He started three games and averaged 4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in 14.4 minutes.

He joins forwards Collin Mulholland and Sebastian Hartmann and guard Parker Robison as available Mocs in the portal. Guard Jordan Frison, a third-team All-SoCon pick in his lone season in Chattanooga, committed to Wichita State over the weekend.
In addition, prep guard Jonathan Moss, a November signee who asked for his release from his letter of intent, committed to Appalachian State over the weekend.
‘Flo’ to the portal, Corbitt finds a home
On the women’s side, forward Frode Flos van der Schans entered the transfer portal this week.
She was a part of two Southern Conference tournament teams (2023, 2024) and two regular-season first-place teams (2024, 2026), and appeared in 71 games in her time. After playing sparingly her first two seasons, she carved out a role the past two years, averaging 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in 2025-26.
She scored a career-high 13 points in a Feb. 7 loss at Wofford, making all four of her shots and all three of her free throws. She also had a career-high 10 rebounds in a Jan. 22 win at UNC Greensboro.

Van der Schans is the third player to enter the portal, joining guard Caia Elisaldez and forward Gianna Corbitt, who recently committed to Miami.
Corbitt averaged 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 steals and shot 43% from 3-point range as a sophomore for the Mocs.
