Many times I have bought the Sunday paper just to read Mark Kennedy’s column. It will be missed by many, many Chattanoogans.

–––

Hope the paper saves column (Times, 6/1) praising Mamdani’s socialist housing plans for NYC, including city taking over buildings from landlords. Let’s see how this works out.

–––

Tennessee and Georgia, it doesn’t matter how hard you try to keep us from the ballot box, we’re gonna vote. You can’t stop us.

–––

Bradley Gitz, on so-called conservative side of paper, said Trump not like Hitler, more like Stalin (Free Press, 6/1). Guess three assassination attempts isn’t enough for Gitz.

–––

So generous of nobody Joe Battenfeld to give a real example to go with Payne’s cartoon (Free Press, 6/2). His piece showing fealty to Trump is real TDS.

–––

Wamp is gutting public health with no public input and no concern for those who rely on those services. Appalling.

–––

Thanks, CTFP for your right-side editorial (5/30). Good to know Trump is not supportive of Marsha Blackburn becoming our governor. Me neither.

–––

The CTFP is failing in part because the left [editorial] page has little journalistic integrity like Harry Austin and Pat Wilcox did. People aren’t stupid.

–––

Common House leaving, Mountain City Club teetering and Lady Helen sinking. Join the club.

–––

Erlanger, please repair and maintain the main hospital you took from the public. Stop extracting profit — provide care, take care of our building and our people.

–––

CARTA put the “car” in “cartoon.” Thank you great and merciful benevolent dictatorship for your generous amnesty offer.

–––

Do progressives need another Pearl Harbor or 9/11 to occur before intervening on Iran or Cuba to prevent one?

–––

The best candidate Democrats can come up with for county mayor is a person that can’t even manage his own finances, much less our county’s.

–––

Did C.J. Mahan Corporation donate more to Trump than Shimmick? With the current bribe to play, something is there.

–––

Does repaving Ooltewah-Ringgold Road mean widening road with turn lane and sidewalks has been cancelled? That was the plan a couple of years ago.

–––

Wake up Walden! Best to think next step beyond your petition. You are siding with monied developer(s) whose buildout (store) will become difficult to control.

–––

Hey, Baby Wamp, Hamilton County is not a tourist destination, Chattanooga is the destination. Stop trying to steal from our city.

–––

The Ranter who uses “Baby Wamp” instead of Mayor Wamp is a coward who should move to a blue state with other leftists.

–––

Why do you think companies, people, U-Hauls are leaving blue states for red? Could it be less regulation, more law enforcement, fewer taxes? Why, yes.

–––

Welcome all friendly Californians who have moved to Chattanooga. May you enjoy new opportunities, friendships. Ignore old grumpy, unhappy people who want no growth.

–––

It’s a shame personal injury lawyers are shutting down Ketner’s Mill. Your greed is taking a treasured community resource away.

–––

$44M for a skate park, seriously! The money should first be used on roads and other things. Resolving the homeless crisis would do more for tourism.

–––

Old multi-story building near Finley was power substation for Tennessee River Power Company, for manufacturers in foundry. Would love to see it restored and used.

–––

Why does legislature micromanage? Always heard Republicans were for small government. No noise laws, speeding cameras allowed. Take over schools instead of funding. Fascism in small steps.

–––

I expect reparations for lockdowns experienced from busing in the ’60s, reverse discrimination in sports and college selection as a white person, etc.

–––

ICE are losers and will continue to be, thanks to DJT. Internal Combustion Engines. Drive electric.
