The North Shore’s Julie Darling Donuts is scheduled to reopen in early November if renovations go according to plan.

About a week after announcing the shop would close Oct. 3, the same day the Walnut Street Bridge reopened, a post on a new Julie Darling social media page announced it has a new owner and plans to reopen soon.

The Kuenzli family, the former owner of Julie Darling Donuts, made an emotional announcement on Facebook saying the doughnut shop would close.

“We are so very thankful for the last 16 years and all the people we have met and the stories we have shared,” the post said. “Life and schedules have changed and it is time for us to say hello to a new chapter but we will always be a donut family at heart.”
