EVENSVILLE, Tenn. — Rhea County sophomore running back Troy Brown is cherishing every second spent on the football field this fall with his older brother, Tyre, whose high school career is winding down.

The Brown brothers made their time together count Friday night while propelling the Golden Eagles to a 50-3 pummeling of Loudon.

Troy took all three of his carries for touchdowns, covering 54, 87, and 14 yards, while Tyre led a stingy defense for the home team as he picked up his fourth sack of the season and recovered a fumble for a touchdown one play after his little brother’s opening score to build a 22-3 lead in the opening quarter.

“Honestly, tonight was such a memorable moment for us as brothers,” said Troy, who over his past three games has rushed for 447 yards and six scores on just 17 carries. “Tyre is a senior and will be going to college soon, so you have to cherish the moment you have with your big brother. We have so much to be thankful for.”
