If the roles from their first meeting were to be reversed in tonight’s game against Mercer, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga coach Will Wade wouldn’t be the least bit disappointed.
In the first game, it was the Bears who had the loud, sellout crowd backing them. In the first game, it was the home team that jumped out to a double-digit lead before the first media timeout.
And in in the first game, it was the Bears who came out victorious by a 75-72 decision in overtime.
Wade and the Mocs hope things will change tonight.
The teams will battle at McKenzie Arena at 7 tonight. The UTC athletics department has been marketing heavily in hopes of getting a large student base at the game, as Mercer is rumored to be bringing as many as two busloads to Chattanooga.
