Today, Chattanooga’s Jewish Cultural Center is celebrating Israel’s Independence Day, also known as Yom Ha’atzmaut, which commemorates the Israeli Declaration of Independence proclaimed in 1948.

2. The glue on Israeli stamps is kosher.
3. In Israel, you can buy hummus-flavored ice cream.
