It is up to all of us to fix what is wrong
Millions and millions of Americans are considered collateral damage to millionaires who sit in Congress and the Senate – both Republican and Democratic legislators.
We voted for these people who do not give a hoot about us, who talk openly about us, who brainwash us to trust them. They voted to give themselves a raise under the tax reform bill while we sat back and accepted it.
So let us stop complaining about what we allow. Let us continue to work 12 to 16 hours a week to survive. Let us continue to find ways to stay healthy with little or no insurance. Let us continue to get small tax breaks of $100 to $500 while those we voted for get millions of dollars in tax breaks.
Stop complaining. One day I hope we as a nation start to use common sense and the free will God gave us – the ability to know right from wrong.
God help us for we know not what we do.

Trump is igniting Civil War-like hate
As to the head of our country that Americans call their president, I suspect the truth and soundness of his wealth are questionable. The information that comes from the mouth of this president is rarely truthful.
How can any person who is at least marginally intelligent be proud of and support this guy? He is incredible.
I’ve said it before and I say it again – if the South had prevailed in the War between the States, but slavery had been abolished as well as other inequities, at least we Southerners wouldn’t have to put up with this lame-brain as our president.
He is taking us back to the hatred that ignited the Civil War.

GOP lawmakers fail to answer to voters
To our Tennessee Republican state and national representatives: Are you working for the American people or for the NRA?
In the 2016 election, the gun lobby gave $5.9 million to Republicans running for congressional and state offices, you among them. Democrats got $.1 million. Suspiciously, Republicans vote in lock step with the NRA.
The scenes of shot, dead bodies – innocent children, men, women – in our communities caused by assault rifles leave us falling to our knees, wailing, donning sackcloth and pouring ashes on our heads. Yet you refuse to ban those military weapons.
Is the money you take from the NRA worth all of these senseless deaths and the ones that will continue to occur? Is this really about protecting the Second Amendment or protecting gun sales and your NRA contributions? Isn’t it unseemly for you to lament these war crimes committed with assault weapons and then say there is nothing you can do about it while at the same time taking money – blood money! – from the NRA?
It’s time for you who seek to represent us to start answering to your constituents. Let me be clear: I mean Tennessee citizens, not lobbyists and the monied elite.
