I’m 91 and recently took a fall in the parking lot of the Salvation Army Family Store. I challenged myself to leave my walking stick in the car and walk free-handed. I had no problems in the store, but walking back to the car I lost my balance and fell to the concrete. I couldn’t get up.
Suddenly, a woman came up asking if she could help, and with a lending hand I was able to make it back to my car. This woman, my “angel of mercy,” saved my life. I shudder to think what could have happened to me without her help.
I have healed from the bruises and discomfort. I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for a stranger’s kindness. I am feeling blessed.
