Brace yourselves. Today’s pollen count is predicted to be high, like upward of 800 high.
So, what’s that mean exactly?
Pollen count is the measurement of the number of pollen grains (which, individually, are about the size of a grain of silt) in a cubic meter of air. Typically, the drier and breezier the days, the higher the count.
And while Chattanooga’s is high, it could be worse. This week in Dallas, Texas, the count reached 3,812.
Regardless, this Friday’s forecast for rain should bring some relief to you allergy sufferers.
