“Fashion, to me, is what you’re comfortable in. I think it reflects confidence. Because we have restrictions with wearing black, I always have to wear a splash of color. I’m the first person you see when you walk into the salon, so I don’t want to blend in with everyone else. Choosing the right fashions can also help you look professional. I do, somewhat, follow trends, but my choices are a little out of the box. The hair stylists here are very trendy so I pay attention to what they’re wearing and if it’s something I like or I think will look good on me, I’ll buy something similar. My favorite stores in Chattanooga are Francesca’s, a little boutique near Hamilton Place; Beech, a new store at Hamilton Place, and The Limited – it’s where I do most of my shopping for professional fashions.”
