AT&T said Monday it is planning to expand the availability of ultra-fast speeds through AT&T GigaPower to parts of 36 additional metropolitan areas across the United States, including Memphis.
With the launch of its ultra-fast Internet service in parts of Los Angeles and West Palm Beach, Fla., on Monday, AT&T GigaPower is now available in 20 of the nation’s largest metro areas.
“The billions of dollars AT&T has invested in our wired and wireless high-speed Internet networks in Tennessee is possible in large part because of the smart, pro-investment policies and pro-business pursuits of our state and local leaders,” said Chuck Thomas, regional director of external and legislative affairs for AT&T in Tennessee.
EPB in Chattanooga launched the first gigabyte-per-second Internet speed five years ago.
