NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “The Nutcracker” takes a Tennessee twist when performed by the Nashville Ballet this December.
The timeless story will be unchanged, but it will be set in Nashville during the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition.
A news release from the ballet said it will be “full of Tennessee history.”
The ballet, celebrating its 25th anniversary, bills itself as the largest professional ballet company in Tennessee. It has 22 company dancers.
