The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team has won both of its games this season against triple-option teams, though it’s hard to tell from coach Russ Huesman’s assessments of his defense.
The Mocs gave up 255 rushing yards to Georgia Southern, but 60 came on one play. And the Eagles managed just 120 yards of offense in the second half.
“We did OK,” Huesman said.
In the wins over The Citadel and Georgia Southern, the Mocs were in their gaps for the most part, got runners on the ground quickly and appeared to do some good things.
“Some average things,” Huesman said. “We’re OK, not great.”
