Giving Spirit
I remember a trip to the movies when I was around 8 that led to our house having a personal handyman for a while. A man living out of his vehicle had approached my father for money, and instead, he offered him a job. While it turned out to be short-lived, it was a lasting lesson for me on philanthropy.
In honor of Chatter’s August Philanthropy Issue, this week’s newsletter features articles to help you build a spirit of giving into your own life. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., “Life’s persistent and most urgent question is ‘What are you doing for others?'”
