UPDATE: A Hamilton County Jail inmate who was reportedly injured Saturday has been treated and returned to the jail, a sheriff’s office spokesman said Monday.
Sheriff’s spokesman Allen Branum said the wounds were superficial and did not cause serious injury.
Since there is a criminal review underway, no additional details can be released at this time, he said.
