On TV

You know more than I do. That’s something you don’t always hear from a critic. By the time you read this, you’ll know the fate of CBS’s scripted Friday-night dramas. As of my filing date, I would suspect that “Numb3rs” and “Miami Medical” are goners and that both “Medium” and “Ghost Whisperer” have a good chance of renewal, but they are hardly locks.

So both shows’ finales seem nicely set up to be either season or series enders. On “Ghost Whisperer” (8 p.m., CBS, TV-PG,V), a haunted hospital poses a mortal challenge to Melinda and her son. Over on the last episode of the sixth season of “Medium” (9 p.m., CBS, TV-PG), Allison’s brain tumor resurfaces, setting up the same kind of cliff-hanger that ended the fifth season. Last year, both “Medium” and Allison were rescued by a move to CBS. Will lightening strike twice?

On “Miami Medical” (10 p.m., CBS, TV-14), a rampaging alligator fills the wards. By evening’s end, I don’t think only the alligator will be dead.

“Kitchen Nightmares” (9 p.m., Fox, TV-14) wraps up its second season with cranky chef Gordon Ramsay revisiting some of the eateries he has advised to see if they’ve remained on track.

But fans of Ramsay won’t be without him for very long. His cooking-competition series “Hell’s Kitchen” returns for its seventh season June 1.
