After a pre-Christmas bag sale that virtually cleared out the store earlier this week, The Samaritan Center in Ooltewah has scheduled its Grand Reopening Sale from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28.
“It’s the biggest sales day of the year for The Samaritan Center,” says Communication Director Eddie Schwisow in a news release. “After being cleaned out in the bag sale, all stores are fully restocked with new-to-the-store inventory. This inventory makes for ideal bargain-hunting conditions.”
Schwisow says crowds “stretch into the parking lot well before 9 a.m.” for the sales. “They’re waiting for the best deals in town,” he says.
The Samaritan Center, 9231 Lee Highway, is the only social-services agency in Ooltewah, providing essential emergency aid services with 9,787 client appointments in 2015.
“Last year, we provided more than $1.8 million in assistance to our community,” Schwisow says. “Much of the center’s funding comes through our three thrift stores, which brought in $1.2 million in sales in 2015.”
