Lookouts eclipse Suns on ‘Star Wars’ Night

The Chattanooga Lookouts made quick work of Jacksonville on Friday night, much like the Death Star did to Princess Leia’s home planet of Alderaan.

Making the most of “Star Wars” Night at AT&T Field, the Lookouts whipped the Suns 7-3 to even the series at a game apiece. Friday’s game, which was followed by a fireworks display, drew an announced crowd of 5,678.

Byron Buxton led off the bottom of the first inning for Chattanooga (10-11) with a single to left field. Jorge Polanco followed with a single to right, and Dalton Hicks doubled to left to score Buxton and put the Lookouts up 1-0.

Chattanooga extended its advantage to 3-0 moments later when Travis Harrison’s one-out single to left scored Polanco and Hicks.

Harrison doubled to left and scored in the fourth inning, and the Lookouts made it 5-0 in the fifth when Levi Michael tripled and scored. Buxton went 3-for-4 to raise his season average to .263, while Polanco, Harrison and Adam Walker each went 2-for-4.
