Trisha Yearwood new StarNight act

StarNight has changed from pop to country with the announcement of a new headliner.

Now scheduled for the Siskin Children’s Institute gala is country vocalist Trisha Yearwood. The three-time Grammy Award winner and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee replaces pop band Sugar Ray, which canceled due to a family obligation of a band member, according to Siskin officials.

Known for her rich vocals, Yearwood has charted 19 Top 10 singles, including “She’s in Love With the Boy” and “How Do I Live.” Her latest venture is cookbook author.

“We are thrilled that Trisha will headline this year’s fundraiser, and we appreciate her willingness to step in on short notice when Sugar Ray had to cancel,” said Jerry Jensen, president and CEO of the Institute.

The evening opens with a cocktail reception and formal dinner followed by the concert. An after-party with dancing and a live DJ rounds out the night.

Tickets to all events are $250, with eight-person tables starting at $2,000. The $100 per person Star Attraction option grants entry to only the concert and after-party.
