Don’t give up
The days on the calendar are tearing away toward the holidays, and frankly it’s hard to think about news.
Daylight has been in short supply and Tuesday, Dec 21, will be shortest day of the year. For outdoor and porch lovers like me, that’s good news: Every day thereafter will be getting longer for about six months.
But the news gods have been unforgiving, despite short, bleak winter days.
We have renewed worries of COVID-19, given that the omicron variant has been found in Hamilton County. And we’re still discovering new horrors from the record-setting mid-December tornadoes in Tennessee and Kentucky. Political trouble-making, of course, never naps.
