Mark “Jiggy” Jigarjian so enjoyed his time in Chattanooga when he was here in October as the opening act for the Impractical Jokers’ Santiago Sent Us Tour, he went looking for a venue to book for a return show featuring just him.

He found Barking Legs Theater, where he will present his “50 First Dates, Zero Second Dates” show Friday, Dec. 16.

“I had such a good time there, and I wanted to come back,” the New York resident says. “I did the whole rent-a-bicycle thing and thought this is kind of like New York. I can get into this.”

He says the title of the show would be even funnier if it weren’t so reflective of real life for him.

“It’s my life,” he says, “plus dating has changed so much. You can have a date every night of the week, and they can be over so quick and people move on.”

His show will deal with some of those dates, as well as some of the other things that have happened to him.

Jiggy has been noted as one of the country’s top upcoming comedians by Comedy Central and has won numerous comedy competitions up and down the East Coast.

In 2013, Jiggy joined the Impractical Jokers tour, which is presented by TruTV, as an opening act and has been performing to sold-out theaters coast to coast since.

He released his first full-length comedy album, “Jokes N Jams,” in 2014 to rave reviews. The album features his brand of stand-up, sketch and musical comedy. The Golf Channel/NBC started playing his first music single and video, “Lob Wedge,” that same year.

Jiggy made his national television debut on the sketch program “Jokers Wild” and introduced the “Jiggy & Jon Podcast” with Jon Kilmer.

He’s also recorded a TV pilot he is shopping to studios, and he hosts a cooking show on Periscope at @jiggycomedy, which is also his handle on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat.

Stand-up is how he makes his living, and he does the extracurriculer activities because he enjoys them – and because he has time.

“People always ask, ‘What does a comedian do at 11 a.m. every day?’ This is what I do. I have time.”
