For three decades, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Preschool has served as the first taste of the world of learning for many Signal Mountain residents.
Established by the church in 1985, the nonprofit preschool for children ages 2-5 is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
“It’s a very warm, fuzzy, nurturing environment,” said Carol Goodman, whose son Jay was a member of the school’s second class, and whose daughter Melinda also attended the school. “I felt my children truly enjoyed it. It provided them with a great first-time experience with a classroom situation, and if a child loves learning, that will carry them through life.”
Melinda’s daughters Mia and Nora will soon be attending the school as well.
“She has very good memories of going,” Carol said of Melinda, now 31. “It’s so great they’re saving a spot for our little girls. It will be a wonderful start for them in the journey of learning.”
