Repeal/replace a broken promise
The newly installed CEO, Donald J. Trump of the United States of America Inc., just discovered that occasionally there are stockholders’ revolts. The stockholders in this case were the Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Recently, the new CEO was welcomed by the shareholders in spite of his somewhat dubious past of bankruptcies, accusations of fraud and inappropriate sexual remarks. For those Republican stockholders, all was forgiven for the promise by the new CEO he would lead them to the promised land of the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). When they saw he was really going to pollute the purity of their product of repeal with replace, they revolted.
Gee, it’s not like he hasn’t previously broken a promise.
