Victim at fault in Ooltewah case?
I have wondered since first reading about the Ooltewah rape case whether the fix was in, whether the three upperclassmen were politically connected, and whether the whole thing was going to be swept under the rug.
After reading the headline article in a recent edition, my suspicions are confirmed. From the tone of the article, it’s clear the next step will be for the freshman who was raped to apologize to the upperclassmen for intruding on their fun and joyful comradeship. He will also apologize to the coaches and administrators for suggesting that anything but harmless fun occurred that night in Sevier County in December 2015. He should especially apologize to Detective Rodney Burns of the Gatlinburg police department for wasting his time on such a trivial matter.
Perhaps a civil suit with the freshman’s parents paying financial compensation to the upperclassmen, coaches and administrators will be the next headline.
