MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis funeral home has caught on fire with six bodies inside the facility when the blaze broke out.
WMC-TV reported that Snow Funeral Home in south Memphis went up in flames at about 12:30 a.m. CST today.
Firefighters retrieved six bodies from the facility after arriving on the scene and battling heavy smoke.
Neighbor Kathy Pride says a loud explosion preceded the blaze.
Fire investigators are checking to see if a floor furnace may have started the fire, but they stress that the blaze is still under investigation.
